Peter is the Director for the Community and Business Engagement (CoBE) Institute for Coastal Carolina University, where he also serves as Executive in Residence and Teaching Associate of Business in the Wall College of Business.
Peter also takes an active role in working with local business development organizations, including the Conway and Georgetown Innovations Centers and the Grand Strand Technology Council.
Previously, Peter was the co-founder and CEO of Wild Creations, a national toy developer located in Myrtle Beach, SC. Wild Creations was recognized by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce as the #1 fastest growing company in South Carolina in 2010, and by the Inc 500/5000 twice as one of the fastest growing US small business. For his accomplishments at Wild Creations, Peter was a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year for the Carolinas by Ernst and Young in 2011.
Prior to founding Wild Creations, Peter worked as an economic and small business development consultant for PYXERA and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), serving three years in the former Soviet Republics of Central Asia. Prior to this, he had a long and successful career in real estate development, working with Phoenix-based Standard Pacific Homes (now Cal-Atlantic Homes) as its Director of Purchasing.
Peter received his MBA, with a focus in Finance and Business Strategy, from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and his BS in Construction Management from the Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He currently serves as on the boards for Junior Achievement of Coastal Carolina, Each 1 Teach 1, and the Small Business and Legislative Councils for the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Peter is the co-author of One Million Frogs, a book about his entrepreneurial and life experience with Wild Creations, and writes regularly about business, innovation and entrepreneurship at Inc.com and Entrepreneur.com. His commentary has also been covered at Business Insider, CNN Money, NBC News, Yahoo Finance and CEO.com.
